Welcome to Richard Robinson who joins the team as a Partner, from the Leeds office of Knights.

Richard has over 14 years’ experience as a specialist property litigator having trained and qualified at Ward Hadaway before working for over ten years at Shulmans LLP and Knights Plc.

Richard assists clients with property interests, in assessing and mitigating the risks associated with property ownership or occupation including advice on such issues as forfeiture, opposed lease renewals, possession claims, trespass, nuisance claims, boundary disputes, easement disputes and restrictive covenants. Richard has recent and long-standing expertise in litigating significant interim and terminal dilapidations claims for which he has been recognised in the Legal 500. He has acted for funds, REITS, business park owners and corporate occupiers in relation to substantial assets which are the subject of such claims.

 

Richard also works with clients and property professionals on matters relating to property disrepair in other areas such as forfeiture, specific performance, service charge disputes and contested lease renewals pursuant to ground (a) of section 30(1) of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954.

Richard has given many seminars to the RICS and other groups of property professionals nationwide especially in relation to dilapidations, the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and active asset management.
